General Assembly of the Comboni Lay Missionaries

With great joy and a heart full of gratitude, the Comboni Missionary Lay Aspirants (LMC) from Chad from Abéché, Moïssala, Bodo and Sarh arrived on Thursday, April 21, 2022 in the evening in the Immaculate Conception parish of Béjondo for their General Assembly. After the night rest, the day began with a retreat on the theme «Eucharist Principle and Sum of Christian Life», presented by Fr. José Alberto Sagras, mccj, rich in content that allowed participants to understand the importance of the Eucharist which is the foundation of our faith in Christian life as Catholic faithful. They finished the retreat with a solemn mass. The afternoon has arrived, all the communities have presented themselves and this year they have given a new impetus that promises well for the future. They received a formation on «Christian spirituality through the charism of Saint Daniel Comboni», presented by Father Horbe Richard, mccj, of the parish of Bodo, theme that allowed participants to better understand the importance and benefits of Christian spirituality linked to the charisms of Saint Daniel Comboni.

There was in each member a sense of fraternity that was well present during the course of the assembly and that allowed to strengthen the bonds of belonging of the aspirants LMC of Chad. They finished the General Assembly on 24 April 2022, full of physical, mental and spiritual strength, to become Saints and Capable, as Saint Daniel Comboni often said. It must be said that the parish priest, Abbé Bertin, welcomed them with a goat, which was slaughtered to greet them on Sunday, after mass, before returning each way back.
